This design assist is the first of its kind in North America and a 100,000 sq ft new build in the U of W Science and Technology campus. Sustainability features include zero carbon, net positive energy consumption and is a LEED platinum candidate. Mechanical systems included geothermal open wells, VRF synchronous heat pump system, solar heating walls and plenums, and heat pump chillers to name some of the major components. Plumbing includes stormwater harvesting, ultra low flow fixtures, a green wall, and RO water for tenant use.
